Leaps and Bounds

At school on Tuesday, Abby was working on tracing animals. I thought it would be a good idea to write the name of the animal on her sheet, so I asked her to write the word "cow" on her cow tracing. Now, Abby can write her name. And she's practiced other letters. But I've never asked her to write a specific word. So, she asked me how to spell cow. I told her "c", she wrote a "c". I told her "o", she wrote an "o". I told her "w", she wrote a "w".

I was thoroughly impressed. Genius child, I tell you. Genius child.
