Happy Birthday Grandpa Dan

Yesterday was Grandpa Dan's birthday, so he came down to the house to pick up the pictures the girls colored for him and to have a piece of the cake they made for him. The cake was just the kind Grandpa loves...covered in pink sprinkles! The girls even got Grandpa to take them to the playground...they're such good present givers!

Tummy Time

So, baby's are supposed to have tummy time every day, right? Well, every time I put Hunter down, this is what happens:

First Weekend at the Cabin

Last weekend, the 5 of us headed up to the cabin. It was Hunter's first of many trips there. We had a great time relaxing, cooking some good food and playing outside.

Doing Stuff

Hunter's getting bigger every day. And he's starting to do stuff! In our house, we find this much more exciting than just watching him sleep...although that's still pretty sweet too.

Hunter is 2 months old now! He was supposed to have his 2-month well check this week, but the doctor had to reschedule, so we'll have the official stats next week. Until then, here are some recent pics:

Both girls love their baby brother, but they express their love in far different manners. Anni likes to yell in his ear, pat his head, kiss him when she runs by or when I'm feeding him, try and "give" him his nuk...all very Anni type things in a very Anni type manner.

Abby, on the other hand, is quieter in her love. At first, I didn't think she really cared to much, either way, about Hunter. She didn't seem to pay a whole lot of attention to him. Then one afternoon, shortly after Hunter's arrival, I was presented with this magnificent photo opp. I think the love speaks for itself.

Visitors

GigiJeff came down to meet Hunter shortly after his arrival home. They were lucky enough to be on vacation when he made his debut, so they trekked down to Hastings to make the official introductions after they made it back to snowy MN.

On Hunter's first Saturday home, we loaded the whole crew into the car and went to introduce the little man to his Great Grama. She was thrilled to see him!

Grama hasn't been feeling too well lately, so this past weekend, Hunter and I took a drive up to St. Paul to spread some cheer. Grama was once again thrilled to see the little man. They had a good cuddle on the bed before we had to head back home. That little guy can sure put a smile on a face in a hurry!

And We're Back

So, there's been a bit of a sabbatical on the blogging front...3 kids, one's a newborn, late night feedings...makes for a tougher time to sit in front of the computer and actually form coherent thoughts. I think we're ready to start getting back on track though, so stay tuned for some updates. The girls are up to their usual antics (and then some) and Hunter's growing like a weed.
