Popcorn

Anni loves popcorn. Pretty much everytime we go to Nana's house, she asks for popcorn. And when we leave, she asks if she can take some popcorn with her. And Nana is always happy to oblige.

This fall, some Boy Scouts came to the door, selling popcorn! So we bought 2 boxes, which should last us until Spring. Anni is happy as a clam and Hunter's decided popcorn is his cup of tea as well. And Piper gets to clean out the bowl.

Florence Nightengales

Miss Piper had an accident this Fall. Dana took her out to the farm one weekend, so he could work on the new deck, and she got hit by a car. It was a pretty bad situation; she had a bunch of stitches in one leg and the hip on the other side got dislocated. But, wouldn't you know it, Piper bounced back. She's still a little stiff, and a little slower than her usual crazy self, but she's pretty much back to normal.

The girls were worried about her though, so they enjoyed playing nurse for a couple weeks. Anni, in particular, went all out, sharing her beloved Blankie. And as you all know, she only shares that blankie if it's really important. So far, she's only ever shared with Hunter, on the rare occasion, and now with her Piper.

Madison County Fair

We hit the Madison County Fair this year too, while at the farm one weekend. The Dude didn't get to do any rides, but he enjoyed hanging out.

Waiting for their turn on the Giant Slide

Garden Master

Apparently, I have the ability to be a rock star gardener, even though I've killed every single house plant I've ever owned...even those of the cactus persuasion.

Mini pumpkins are now my speciality. I planted them this spring in hope of having some fun little pumpkins for the girls come Halloween.

Here are the fruits of (all) my labor(s).

Preschool 2010

Both girls started preschool this year. Abby attends Monday, Wednesday, Friday mornings and Anni goes Tuesday and Thursday mornings. They both LOVE school.

Here are the ever important first day pics.

Giant Corn Dogs and Whatnot

The Schmidt crew LOVES the State Fair. We roll out early in the morning, on a week day if we can swing it, and our first stop is the giant corn dog. Because nothing says funny like a giant corn dog.

And So It Begins

Abby got a really cool headband for her birthday this summer. She wore it constantly all summer. One day, she thought it might be a little extra fun to play dress up...with her baby brother. He didn't seem to mind a bit!

Pull Ups

Just as soon as Hunter learned to crawl, back around the 5 1/2 month mark, he was only interested in what he could do next. Pulling himself up on the furniture shortly followed the crawling phenomenon...like about 2 days later.

Gymnastics Camp

This past summer, the girls took a week-long gymnastics camp at The Little Gym in Burnsville. Everyday, for one week, they spent 3 hours running around a gym, working on the different apparatus, having snacks, and doing some craft projects. They loved every minute of it.

Who could this be?

The Monkey and the Noodle, of course.
