On Demand

I'm pretty sure Anni hasn't pooped in a few days, but I've been so wrapped up in Hunter's constant diapers, I haven't really been paying attention. I told Dana about it this morning and he hadn't changed a dirty diaper of hers anytime recently. So I told Anni I needed her to poop. AND SHE DID.

Love that kid.

Name that Baby

Ok, folks, let's see how good you are. Can you name that baby? It's not like you can tell the kids are related or anything...

Weight Check

Hunter had a little jaundice when he was born, so I've had to take him back to the hospital twice, for weight checks and jaundice measurements. On his first check, he was down a little weight and his jaundice was still higher than they liked, so he had to endure the dreaded heel stick and blood draw. He was not a fan, but calmed down pretty quickly. We went back 2 days later and the kid had literally put on 5 ounces of weight in 2 days! He's still eating like a champ...in fact, he can now pound 5 ounces in about 10 minutes. I'm starting to think my girls aren't going to be the only eaters in the family...and the teenage years could very well break us! :)

Email

The other morning, I was upstairs sleeping, sans baby, while Dana was downstairs with the 3 kids. He and Anni proceeded to have a very interesting conversation.

Anni: I really, really, really want to go upstairs!

Dana: No, you have to stay downstairs. Mom's sleeping.

Anni: I just want to play in the playroom!

Dana: No, Anni. You stay downstairs. Mom's sleeping. We need to be quiet.

Anni: How bout I go up and check my email?

At which point Dana bursts into laughter.

Welcome Home Hunter!

We're all home now! I think the girls are happy to have everyone back to where they're supposed to be. They had a great time down at Grandma and Grandpa's, but they came home pretty tired and a bit out of sorts from all the commotion of the past few days. Now that we're all back sleeping under the same roof, I think we should be all back on schedule shortly...or at least the girls and Dana will be. Hunter and I still have some sorting out to do.

Hunter Raymond Schmidt

He's here!

Hunter Raymond Schmidt finally made his grand entrance! He was born 2/2/10 at 5:02 p.m. He weighed in at a whopping 7lbs 10.6 oz (that actually is whopping compared to his sisters) and was 19 3/4 inches long. He's got short brown hair and blue eyes. Baby was perfectly healthy, aside from a touch of jaundice.

Here are some of the first photos:

Last Day of Four

The Sunday before Hunter arrived, Dana, the girls and I got to spend some quality time together. We went and got some special treats before catching an afternoon movie - The Chipmunks. After the movie, we came home for a little more reading from the Peter Pan book, before Grandma Debbie came and picked up the girls for an extended sleepover. Grandma took the girls for us for a few days, so their schedules wouldn't get too disrupted while I was busy having a baby. They had a great time with Grandma, and Grandpa, once he got back from FL.

Here are a few photos from our last day as a family of four:
