Thankful

Today in school, Abby and I were sitting in circle time while Ms. Anna described what our projects were for the day. One of the projects was the Thankful Tree. All the kids got a little construction paper leaf and the parents were supposed to write on it whatever our child was thankful for. Ms. Anna explained to the kids that "thankful" meant something we liked and something that made us happy. Imagine my delight, when my eldest turned around and said,

"I'm thankful for you, Mama."
