Morning Routine

Miss Abigail has a new morning routine. For the past couple weeks, she's been waking up before Anni, which in and of itself is unusual. Abby's always been the sleeper of the two girls. These days, however, she likes to get herself out of her crib and crawl into bed with me for a few minutes. She usually brings a book with her. We cuddle for a few minutes (it will pretty much be the only cuddle time I get with the Monkey all day) and then she hucks herself off the bed to go in search of her dad. Dana's usually already downstairs watching the news. So, the two of them watch the news and read some stories, waiting for Anni to wake up.

And as much as I am not a morning person, and as much as I hate being woken up in the morning, I wouldn't trade in those few minutes in the morning for anything.
